Stacey Rackham

Creator + Owner Mint Hair Crafting

Pronouns She/Her ⚡ I've had the opportunity to care for so many beautiful people in the 15 years of my career and I'm grateful for the connections I have with guests. I'm always inspired by giving back to the community and I love spending time with my dogs when I'm not working with my team or behind the chair. My favorite services are modern gray blending, modern block color and all hues of reds, brunettes and blondes. My availability can be limited at times and I’m honored to help guests find someone on our team who is a strong fit for them if my schedule doesn't suit theirs.

I am driven by a passion to create. My journey into salon ownership began with a vision to establish a space where salon professionals could excel in their careers and thrive in a supportive environment.

I opened Mint Hair Crafting in 2016 on South Center Street in Royal Oak, MI before relocating to Ferndale in July of 2022. As a young stylist, living in Ferndale, I never thought I could own a salon in such a desirable community and I’m forever grateful for the rare opportunity that I came across in late 2015 as I sought out buildings to bring MHC to life.

I’ve loved cultivating lasting relationships within the community and creating a sense of connection among my team and our guests. I am committed to providing an atmosphere where creativity and skill are nurtured and each stylist has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Mint Hair Crafting is an extension of my heart + soul – a space where professionals thrive, relationships flourish, and we serve the community we live and create in.

Natalie Pizzimenti she/her

Salon Educator // Haircutting + Color Specialist

Pronouns She/Her ⚡ I LOVE short hair cutting and creating shapes that work with the head shape and bone structure of my guests. I enjoy transformational hair cutting like BIG CHOPS to shorter shapes.

Connecting with my guests and laughing with them keeps me engaged and inspired after 11 years behind the chair. Outside of the salon, I'm rollerblading, lifting weights at the gym and hanging with my perfect pup, Gus.

Nicole Beckman she/her

Salon Educator // Blonding + Corrective Color Specialist

Prounous She/Her ⚡ I love creating dimensional color on my guests - blonding, lived in looks and high impact fashion colors. I have advanced color formulation knowledge and well versed in gray coverage and modern gray blending approaches to meet the needs of my guests. I’m a quiet gal and I'm ready to listen to you and support you. I'm happy to chat during your visit but I'm very comfortable with creating a quiet, safe salon experience for you to enjoy if you'd prefer. I'm a new mama and my schedule reflects my family focused intention. Outside of the salon, I enjoy time with my friends and family.

Taylor Hollis she/her

Team Mentor // Lived-in Color, Healthy Hair

Pronouns She/Her ⚡ I'm a lover of balayage, natural blonding, lived in looks and supporting my guests through their healthy hair journey. I have advanced experience with finer hair and understand the maintenance needed to care for delicate textures.

I love having fun and making people feel their best. I'm quiet, but low key hilarious and love cats, music and enjoy crawling in bed to read a book.

Tess Bradley she/her

Salon Educator // Haircutting + Curly Specialist

Pronouns She/Her ⚡ A haircut is more than a style; it's a statement of identity. Specializing in gender-affirming guest care while creating looks that not only align with personal style but also empower individuals to embrace their true selves. I love to partner with guests who celebrate their natural texture or are on their journey to getting there. My favorite services are transformational hair cuts paired with treatments and color glosses - leaving hair vibrant, shiny and happy! Outside of the salon you can find me thrifting, exploring street art, experiencing music festivals and tending my veggie garden. I love sharing about my cats and food of all kinds BUT if you need a quiet place to chill, I'm happy to provide that.

Em Fenech

Level 1 Stylist // Headspa Educator

Pronouns She/Her ⚡ I love taking care of people and connecting - it's truly my favorite part of being in the beauty industry. I really enjoy creating accents of color and fun shapes in haircuts and have a passion for keeping hair super healthy and shiny. When I'm not in the salon, you can find me exploring nature, cultivating my plants inside, creating art and observing all the creatures and bugs that we coexisit with.

Mason Paliewicz

Level 1 Stylist

Pronouns He/They ⚡ As a proudly queer and non binary hairstylist, I believe in positive self talk, celebrating my guests and their relationship to themselves through their self expression. I've been LOVING walking guests through embracing their natural textures and celebrating whats unique about them.

I'm conscious to create a judgement free zone behind my chair. I enjoy creating shape through haircutting, modern + classic hair color. Outside of the salon I love to craft and I'll never turn down the opportunity to go roller skating!

Madeline Withun

Level 2 Stylist

Pronouns She/Her ⚡ I love creating modern blondes and keeping hair healthy by building a custom maintenance plan for my guests with treatments, glosses and strong home care practices. I've been working with guests since 2015 and have found the most joy in getting to know them, their goals and laughing throughout their visit! When I'm not behind the chair you can find me giving my time to an equine shelter and loving on my fur family, garden and exploring all of the best food options in Metro Detroit. I cherish my time practicing yoga and camping during the warm months in Michigan.

Skylar Baysa

Level 1 Stylist

Pronouns She/Her ⚡ In 2018 I made the career decision to become a licensed stylist and follow my dream of taking care of people through the creative process of doing hair. I love creating short shapes through clipper work and the self expression of color. When I'm not behind the chair, I'm exploring and hiking throughout Michigan and taking photos of all the beauty that surrounds us.

Meg Marcoux

CoStylist

Pronouns She/Her ⚡ I love all flavors of blondes, I find it so satisfying becoming someones trusted stylist. I sought out cosmetology school mid 2020 through a lifetime of inspiration from my mom; I loved assisting her in the salon. When I'm not behind the chair, I'm playing guitar in my indie band, Twin Dear, spending time with my dogs, practicing yoga and making new vegan foods. Fun fact: My go to karaoke song is Linger by The Cranberries.

Values Matter

Community engagement is a cornerstone of Mint Hair Crafting's philosophy. We are passionate about giving back, mentorship and contributing to the well-being of the community we exist within and serve.

Through initiatives as:

• Recycling highlight foils, hair and chemical waste

• Sorting our used packing materials to be reused by other local businesses and moving neighbors

• Collecting resource donations to non-profits like Dog Aide, Bark Nation, Friends of Detroit Animal Care and Control, First Step of Wayne County and Motor City Mitten Mission

• Furnishing our space with second hand decor through thrifting and Marketplace finds, reducing unnecessary construction waste and being mindful of our footprint.

• Providing gender affirming haircuts in support of Affirmations on our bi-annual Free Gender Affirming Haircut Day

• Puppy Yoga events in benefit of local animal welfare groups

• Hosting students from Ferndale High School to build gainful employment skills
